Verse of the Week 6/9: Romans 8:6

NRSV: To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

CEB: The attitude that comes from selfishness leads to death, but the attitude that comes from the Spirit leads to life and peace.

The NRSV is the New Revised Standard Version, which is the academic standard for biblical translation. The Common English Bible is a more accessible translation. Both are approved for use during worship in the Episcopal Church.
