NRSV: Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—in peace because they trust in you.


CEB: Those with sound thoughts you will keep in peace, in peace because they trust in you.


The NRSV is the New Revised Standard Version, which is the academic standard for biblical translation. The Common English Bible is a more accessible translation. Both are approved for use during worship in the Episcopal Church.

CEB: You must be doers of the word and not only hearers who mislead themselves.

NRSV: For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.


CEB: Instead, we are God’s accomplishment, created in Christ Jesus to do good things. God planned for these good things to be the way that we live our lives.
